Gerakan Youth Secretary General Dr Dominic Lau today condemns the violent act of attacking PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim by UMNO supporters while he was turning up for a political talk in Sembrong, Johor.  He also urges UMNO to take disciplinary action against the culprits if the matter is found to be involving UMNO members to ensure no more recurrence of such incident in the future.

Dr Dominic said, “irrespective of the political party whether it is the ruling party or the opposition, we should respect all legal political seminars that is done in accordance to the law. Malaysia is about to turn 55, therefore, we should form a more mature and democratic political platform to demonstrate to the people a more healthy and fair political culture.”

With this, Dr Dominic urges the police to investigate the matter so that the truth can be revealed soon.
