Gerakan Headquarter will hold a Chinese New Year Open House on 23 January (Monday) the first day of Chinese New Year from 10am till 1pm at Dewan Wawasan, Level 4, Menara PGRM, Tower 1, Cheras, Kuala Lumpur. Gerakan is welcoming the public’s attendance to celebrate Chinese New Year together with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, Gerakan President Tan Sri Dr. Koh Tsu Koon as well as other dignitaries to welcome the year of Dragon and together to celebrate the arrival of a new year.

Gerakan Chinese New Year Open House Organising Committee Chairman Lim Si Pin said that Gerakan Chinese New Year Open House is an annual event of the party. Gerakan is welcoming the attendance of all leaders from NGO and Barisan Nasional component parties as well as general public of all races to celebrate the Chinese New Year together.

Lim Si Pin who is also the Gerakan Youth Chief said that Gerakan will be giving out angpows to orphans and there will also be dragon dance and lion dance to give live to the Chinese New Year atmosphere.

23 January (Monday) The first day of Chinese New Year:

11am-1pm: Kedah Gerakan & N11 Derga, venue: Dewan Dato’ Syed Omar, Jalan Langgar, Alor Setar, Kedah.

7pm: Negeri Sembilan Gerakan jointly with State Barisan Nasional and State Government, venue: Dewan Majlis Perbandaran Seremban.

24 January (Tuesday) The second day of Chinese New Year:

10am-1pm: Sabah Gerakan, venue: Dewan Serbaguna, Kompleks Sukan Likas, Jalan Komples Sukan, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

4pm-7pm: Penang Gerakan jointly with State Barisan Nasional, venue: Tanjung City Marina Pangkalan Weld. 

25 January (Wednesday) The third day of Chinese New Year:

10am-1pm: Terengganu Gerakan, venue: Dewan Persatuan Murid Tua Sekolah Kwang Hwa, Dungun, Terengganu.

29 January (Sunday) The seventh day of Chinese New Year:

10am-2pm: Selangor Gerakan, venue: Dataran Pandan Perdana Lake Club.

11am-1pm: Perak Gerakan, venue: Dataran Esplanade Majlis Perbandaran Taiping.

31 January (Tuesday) The ninth day of Chinese New Year:

6pm-9pm: WPKL Gerakan jointly with Batu, Kepong & Segambut Division, venue: Padang Besar, Taman Batu (beside Restoran Teck Wah).

1 February (Wednesday) The tenth day of Chinese New Year:

7:30pm-11pm: Johor Gerakan, venue: Dewan Besar SJKC Kulai Besar, Kulai.

2 February (Thursday) The eleventh day of Chinese New Year:

7pm-10pm: Melaka Gerakan, venue: Padang Taman Asean, Malim.
