On 26 November 2011, Gerakan Batu Division made another trip to Kg Chubadak of Taman Dato Senu in Sentul which was hit by fire on 10 November, 2011. Gerakan Batu not only helped out in the clearing work but had also arranged for assistance from DBKL.

Gerakan Youth Secretary General Dr Dominic Lau who was also present on that day said, Gerakan Batu Division had been following up with the post disaster work by providing daily necessities as well as moral support to the victims of fire to understand their needs.  Gerakan had proven its “Walk the Talk” pledge for successfully finding new residences for the victims of fire within a week's time.

Dominic said, “Besides, what’s worth mentioning is that Gerakan had specially awarded Puan Zurita who had courageously rescued 3 trapped children from the deadly scene of fire.  Apart from giving a letter of appreciation to this lady, we had also enclosed other symbolic awards to compliment her courageous contribution.”

Dr Dominic also added that Gerakan will continue to serve the locals of Batu constituency.  Gerakan understands the importance of resolving the daily issues of the people in terms of quality and quantity.
