C4 long house at Jinjang Utara, Sentul was caught on fire during Christmas, it has affected 5 families and yesterday Gerakan Batu Division Public Service Center had approached the affected residents to offer their sympathy, while at the same time hand over the monetary aid and some daily goods to them as assistance.

Gerakan Youth Secretary General Dr. Dominic Lau who represented Gerakan Batu Division on the monetary aid delivery said that, apart from getting the daily necessity supplies from the Welfare Department on behalf of the affected residents, Gerakan Batu Division will also be helping them to apply for government low cost flats and closely follow up as well as to expedite the application process, so that they can reacquire a new home.

“Due to the victims were unaware that they are required to present the copy of the police report as well as other documents in order to apply for the government flats, we will be giving full assistance to help them in preparing the necessary documents. Besides, we have not forgotten to supply school uniforms and stationeries to the affected school children on which the school will be reopening soon,” added Dominic Lau.

In addition, Dominic Lau also wanted to express gratitude to the members of Gerakan voluntary fire brigade, who were actively assisted the Bomba in the fire rescuing effort during that incident.
