Khaw Veon Szu, Executive Director of SEDAR Institute, has been appointed by the Malaysian Government to sit on the Advisory Panel of the National Integration Research & Training Institute under the Prime Minister’s Department. He received his letter of appointment on June 28 from Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (National Unity and Performance Management).

Khaw pledged to try his level best to serve the nation in this new role as a member of the Advisory Panel, particularly in strengthening the spirit of Constitutionalism and Rukun Negara in the pluralistic Malaysian Society.

Meanwhile, in order to further strengthen its research capacity, SEDAR Institute has appointed Dr Hsu Dar Ren as a Research Fellow.

Dr Hsu Dar RenDr Hsu is a medical doctor in private practice with a master’s degree in Occupational Medicine, Safety and Health. He also blogs on socio-political and environmental issues.

He is the author of a research paper on Malaysian Healthcare, "Malaysian Healthcare: Where Are We Heading? - a critical look at the proposed National Health Financial Scheme, and a memorandum on "the Danger of Malaysia producing insufficiently trained doctors." 

SEDAR Institute welcomes Dr Hsu on board and believes he will be able to contribute his ideas and expertise tremendously, especially in SEDAR Institute's research works, and on National Healthcare issues. "
