Following the first BR1M distribution event held on 18th January 2012 where Gerakan Batu Division had distributed more than 1,400 units of RM500 from BR1M, Gerakan Batu Division had also distributed another 6,000 over units of BR1M on 28th January and 29th January, 2012 . With this, Gerakan Batu Division has successfully distributed all the BR1M cash to all successful applicants in Batu Constituency.
 

Gerakan Youth Secretary General, Dr Dominic Lau who was also present at the event said that the distribution went smoothly and satisfactorily. Besides, Gerakan was also delighted and pleased to have the Minister of the Federal Territory Datuk Raja Nong Chik Zainal Abidin to host their event last Saturday.

随着民政党峇都区部联同国阵成员党于1月18日举行了首场发放一个马来西亚人民援助金的活动，共派发了1千400多份的援助金，也陆续在1月28及29日举办了两场的发放援助金活动，并发放了6千多份的援助金给获批准的申请者，这表示这3场的发放援助金活动已成功派放援助金给所有峇都区获批准的申请者。

出席活动的民青团总秘书刘华才博士表示，一切发放工作安排令人满意，而且上周六的活动也获得联邦直辖区部长拿督拉惹侬仄再纳阿比亲临主持。     

Gerakan Vice President Dato’ Mah Siew Keong today condemns PERKASA Chief, Ibrahim Ali for giving out angpow in white envelope during a Chinese New Year Open House held in Kampung Baru yesterday.  Although Dato’ Mah believes that his intention of having a Chinese New Year open house is kind, but the act of giving angpow in white envelope is still very insulting to Chinese.

Dato’ Mah said, “White colour envelopes are reserved for funeral in the Chinese customs, by giving angpow in white envelopes during Chinese New Year which is meant to be a prosperous and joyful festival for Chinese shows that Ibrahim Ali is greatly insensitive and insincere. "

民政党副主席拿督马袖强今天谴责马来土权主席依布拉欣阿里昨日在甘榜巴鲁的农历新年门户开放活动以白色信封派红包的举动。虽然拿督马袖强相信依布拉欣阿里举办农历新年门户开放是一种善意的举动，然而，给白色红包却是对华人不敬。

拿督马袖强表示，“白封在华人传统文化里是在丧礼的时候用来给帛金的，依布拉欣阿里在如此吉祥如意的农历新年给“白包”根本就严重地体现出他对华族文化的无知，同时也显示出他没诚意分派红包。”
