民青团总秘书刘华才博士上周五（4月13日）随同副首相兼教育部长丹斯里慕尤丁出席了峇都区锡克教徒庆祝拜萨哈节新年门户开放活动，与峇都区锡克教徒共同欢庆这个节日。这也是马来西亚独特的地方，不分种族、不分宗教、不分文化，各族人民齐聚一堂，共同欢庆各族的节日。

刘华才博士表示早前于4月11日到访峇都区英丹拜杜里花园并巡视当地一带发现许多不法集团非法张贴广告贴纸在电灯柱、路牌等地方，严重破坏市容。有鉴于此，民政党峇都区部将在4月18日（星期三）早上9时，连同吉隆坡市政局进行一项环境美化运动，全面拆除及清洗这些非法张贴的广告贴纸，同时也欢迎当地居民一起参与。

The Security Offences (Special Measures) Bill 2012 will be replacing the ISA 1960 with the aim of ensuring national security from threats of violence while maintaining public order of the society.  With that, the Criminal Procedure Code will also be amended with new provision which allows police officer ranked Inspector and above to be able to conduct searches and seizure without warrant.

Kedah Gerakan Chairman and Derga State Assemblyman Dr Cheah Soon Hai feels that the particular clause in the Bill can be used to violate individual privacy or abused.  He is in the opinion that there has always been a lot of frictions between police and the public because of this power of seizure.

“If a seizure can be conducted without warrant, how can people determine whether the police is a real police?” said Dr Cheah.

吉打民政党主席兼德卡区州议员谢顺海医生指出，取代内安法令的2012年国家安全罪行（特别措施）法案，将废除内政部长未审先扣的权力，这除了确保国家安全免受暴力威胁，也是为了维持社会的安全与秩序。可是，我国的刑事法典也将被修订，以允许警长阶级以上的警察可以在没有搜查令的情况下入屋展开搜查。

谢顺海医生认为，该刑事法典条文极有可能被滥用来侵犯个人隐私权力。他认为，警方与民众之间时常产生冲突，也是因为这个搜查权。

谢顺海说，“如果搜查可以在没有搜查令的情况下展开，那么它很容易被滥用，而且民众要如何分辨警察的真伪？”

Gerakan Youth Secretary General today expresses his disappointment on the remark made by the Deputy Prime Minister cum Education Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin which alleged that Dong Zong is a liar.  Dr Dominic Lau said, Gerakan will not be able to accept such remark and disagrees with Muhyiddin for making such comment on Dong Zong.

Dr Dominic said that everything happens for a reason, the 325 rally happened for some reasons and Gerakan is in the opinion that as the Education Minister for all Malaysians, Tan Sri Muhyiddin has the responsibility for all schools, so he should arrange for a roundtable discussion with Dong Zong as soon as possible.  We need an avenue for discussion and negotiation in order to resolve the core of the problem as well as eradicate the misunderstandings, and that is what the people hope to see.

民青团总秘书刘华才博士今日对于副首相兼教育部长丹斯里慕尤丁发出董总是说谎者的言论感到失望。

刘华才博士说，民政党绝对无法接受，也不同意教育部长慕尤丁对董总所作出的这番言论，尤其这出自于我国教育部最高领导人的口中，更使人感到失望。

刘华才说，事出必有因，325抗议大会绝不会无端举行，所以民政党认为身为全民的教育部长慕尤丁绝对不可逃避责任，应尽快安排与董教总进行对话与会议，那才能真正了解问题的症结，消除彼此间的歧见，进而找出更妥善的解决方法，那才是人民所要见到的处理问题方法，而不是隔空喊话，这对解决问题没有任何帮助，反而使问题更趋复杂。

Gerakan Batu Division visited Taman Intan Baiduri market on 11 April 2012 which was a national public holiday and set up a mobile service counter to allow the local residents to come forth and express the difficulties they are facing.  This is an initiative by Gerakan Batu Division to provide further assistance to the locals.

Gerakan Youth Secretary General Dr Dominic Lau who was also present to the event said that although there was a heavy downpour in the morning, the mobile service counter is still carried out as planned. We have collected a lot of feedbacks and complains during the event including issues such as BR1M inquiry and appeal issue, application for citizenship, safety and security of the society and also various other daily issues such as clogging of drains, terrible road condition, illegal hawker license etc.
