Salam Aidilfitri kepada semua umat Islam menyambut Hari Raya Aidilfitri dan juga Selamat Hari Merdeka ke-54 kepada semua rakyat Malaysia. Sekali lagi, kita diberkati dapat meraikan kedua-dua perayaan ini secara aman dan harmoni.

Seperti yang sedia maklum, Hari Raya Aidilfitri adalah satu perayaan yang istimewa kerana adanya limpah kurnia dan kemuliaan bagi umat Islam setelah melalui sebulan menempuhi Ramadhan, dan bagi umat Islam untuk bermaaf-maafan di antara satu sama lain, satu amalan baik yang kini juga diamalkan oleh anggota-anggota komuniti lain. Ianya juga memberi peluang kepada semua rakyat Malaysia untuk menunjukkan belas kasihan dan mengamalkan keterangkuman dan "Wasatiyah"  atau kesederhanaan yang merupakan konsep asas dalam Islam, seperti juga dalam agama-agama utama dunia yang lain.

我在此恭祝所有回教徒开斋节快乐以及全体马来西亚人民54周年国庆日快乐。我们感恩今年能够再次在一个和平与和谐的气氛下，先后在我国庆祝这两个富有意义的节日。
 
我们都知道，经历了一个非常考验性的斋戒月后，开斋节对回教徒而言是一个象征恩惠与荣耀的节日，让回教徒之间有机会和解与互相原谅，这优良文化如今也被其他社群奉行。它让所有马来西亚人民有机会表现怜悯之心，并实践包容与中庸的精神，而这正是回教的基本教义之一，正如世界上其他主要的宗教一样。

Vice President of Gerakan, Dato’ Mah Siew Keong today criticized the statement made by the Chief Minister of Malacca, Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam who said “chances for BN to win the Bachang constituency is much higher if either UMNO or MCA contests at that area” as a statement that contradicts with the spirit of Barisan Nasional. Mah said that bargaining of seats through the media is wrong.
 
Mah said, “Being the Chief Minister and Chairman of Barisan Nasional Malacca, he should put his point of view at Barisan Nasional meetings and not through media.  He has failed to abide with the spirit of Barisan Nasional totally and failed to differentiate between friends and foes of Barisan Nasional.”

民政党全国副主席拿督马袖强今日针对马六甲州首席部长拿督斯里莫哈末阿里所发出的言论作出抨击。他认为莫哈末阿里所说的“如果由巫统或马华在峇章选区上阵，国阵胜出的机会更大”是不合逻辑和荒谬的。
 
“身为马六甲州首席部长及国阵州主席，莫哈末阿里的这番言论充分显示他是一名不成熟的领导者。任何有关议席的谈论应该在国阵会议上讨论，而不是公开在媒体上放话。他这样做完全没有顾及国阵精神和成员党的感受，更可悲的是他也无法辨别到底谁才是我们国阵的政敌和谁是国阵的成员党盟友。”马袖强说。

Gerakan Batu Division had a meeting with the Board of Directors of SJKC Chi Man last week to discuss issues faced by the school.  The representative from Gerakan, Gerakan Youth Secretary General Dr Dominic Lau said, the Board of Directors of the school had requested for the help from Gerakan to address the issues such as the need to repair the road at the entrance of the school, the deteriorating condition of rubbish accumulation nearby the school and also the issue of noise pollution caused by KTM commuter trains to the Kuala Lumpur City Hall in order to resolve the abovementioned matters in due course.

民政党峇都区部日前与冼都志文国民型华文小学董事部举行了一项联席会议，针对该校所面对的一些问题进行讨论。当天代表民政党峇都区部出席会议的民青团总秘书刘华才博士表示，该校董事部提出了进出该校校园的马路损坏不堪需要维修、学校附近的垃圾堆积问题日渐严重、以及邻近列车经过时所引起的噪声等问题，希望能够通过民政党峇都区部向吉隆坡市议会反映，以寻求解决对策。
