SEDAR Institute & Wawasan Open University is jointly organizing a roundtable discussion to discuss about the recent Malaysia Government's plan to scrap UPSR & PMR examination.

Tentative program

1.30pm – 2.00pm:      Registration and networking

2.00pm – 2.10pm:      Welcoming speech by Datuk Mah Siew Keong, Chairman of SEDAR Institute

2.10pm – 2.15pm:      Introductory Remarks by  Mr. U.K. Menon
Deputy Vice Chancellor (SPACE), Wawasan Open University

2.15pm – 3.35pm:      Panel:  The Future of UPSR & PMR

  Proposed Panelists:
1.      Prof. Dr. Fatimah Hashim, Deputy Dean, Faculty of Education, University of Malaya

2.      Dato’ Dr. Salbiah bte Ismail Director, Lembaga Peperiksaan, Ministry of Education Malaysia.

3.      Ms Lok  Yim Pheng, Secretary-General, National Union of Teaching Profession.

4.      Ms B.S. Hemalatha, Guru Cemerlang, S.M.K. Taman Dato’ Harun

Moderator: Prof. Dr Malachi Edwin Vethamani, 
Dean, School of Education, Languages & Communications.
